PawTrack Privacy Policy

1. Overview & Data Controller

PawTrack ("we", "our", or "the System") operates a unified pet recovery, RFID transponder identification, and municipal animal pound intake tracking platform. This Privacy Policy informs pet guardians, shelter staff, and community members regarding how personal and pet telemetry information is collected, processed, protected, and shared.

2. Google OAuth & Account Authorization

When you choose to authenticate using Google Sign-In or Google Identity Services, PawTrack requests access only to the minimum required scopes:

• Full Name (`profile` / `name`): Used exclusively to identify you as the verified legal guardian of your registered pets on recovery dossiers and shelter claims.
• Email Address (`email`): Used to deliver critical notifications, including automated Municipal Pound Intake Alerts, 72-Hour Legal Holding Countdown timers, and claim approvals.
• Profile Picture (`picture`): Rendered in your guardian portal header and profile pass for user interface personalization.

Google User Data Protection: PawTrack complies strictly with the Google API Services User Data Policy. We do not sell, rent, or transfer your Google user data to third-party advertisers, data brokers, or artificial intelligence training models.

3. RFID Transponder & Pet Identification Data

When you register a pet on PawTrack, we store:

• Pet Details (Name, Species, Breed, Gender, Color, Medical Notes, Photo).
• 134.2 kHz FDX-B RFID Transponder Tag ID and Microchip Serial Numbers.
• Guardian Contact Phone and Registered Municipality/Barangay.

4. 72-Hour Municipal Holding Countdown & Pound Alerts

Under Republic Act No. 8485 and city municipal animal control ordinances, impounded pets are held for a mandatory 72-hour holding window before being eligible for adoption. When an animal shelter or pound scans your pet's RFID tag, PawTrack triggers immediate SMS and Email alerts to help you claim your pet promptly.

5. Location Privacy Shielding

PawTrack shields your precise residential address. Public sighting map markers display approximate barangay/vicinity coordinates without exposing your exact home location.

6. Your Rights & Data Deletion

You have full control over your data:

• You can view, edit, or delete registered pet records at any time.
• You may disconnect your Google account and revoke access via your Google Security Settings.
• You can request complete account erasure by contacting our Data Protection Officer.
